CESA one-off will help equipment buyers find new launches and latest energy-saving technologies

Leading catering equipment brands are featured in a special Hotelympia guide designed to help visitors looking for new launches and specific types of appliances, such as energy–saving models.

The CESA New Product Guide includes names like BGL Rieber, Gram, Hobart, Victor, Williams and Winterhalter. As well as listing new models it highlights three characteristics – energy saving, water saving and labour saving – along with each design’s key features and benefits.

The Guide also lists other information that may affect the buying decision, such as the suppliers’ accreditations and where their manufacturing is based.

“New products are a key attraction for visitors to the Show,” says Keith Warren, director of CESA. “We asked members who are launching models to supply the information in an easy to assimilate format. That’s made the Guide a quick and efficient source of data, so it should help generate interest and sales at Hotelympia.

“We hope the Guide will also serve as a useful resource for operators, distributors and consultants after the show.”

Free copies of the Guide will be available from the CESA stand, 4270, at Hotelympia, or they can be supplied on request by post. The Guide can also be downloaded as a PDF from bit.ly/1LbTf8X

VIP programme targets key buyers while app puts exhibitors in the know
Hotelympia, February 29 – March 3 2016, ExCel London

CESA and Fresh Montgomery, the organisers of Hotelympia, have got together to create a brand new concept – called the VIP Equipment Buyer Programme – that’s designed to get key buyers from foodservice operator groups onto exhibitor stands at the 2016 exhibition. From the buyer’s perspective, it will be like having an exclusive virtual concierge who will help them quickly find the products they want to view. For CESA members, it will help generate visits from targeted VIP buyers at the show.

“This is a truly innovative and unique initiative from a catering exhibition organiser,” says Simon Frost, chair of CESA. “It’s going to bring genuine benefits to both visitors and exhibitors.”

The programme consists of a highly targeted marketing campaign using a database distilled from three sources – CESA, Fresh and Caterlyst. It will target VIP buyers, inviting them to join the programme in order to fast-track their visit and make best use of the time they have at the show.

The programme will also set up timed meetings for visitors and exhibitors.

Meanwhile a special VIP Programme app has been created, for both IOS and Android, that will allow exhibitors taking part in the programme to access data on buyers when they visit the stand, including contacts, head office records and current suppliers. CESA members who sign up for the scheme will have access to the full universe of every group operator and their key buyers, via the app, to encourage attendance. CESA and Fresh Montgomery are currently looking into a function that would enable the app to alert exhibitors when VIP visitors are ‘in the hall.’

To find out more about the Hotelympia VIP Equipment Buyer Programme contact the programme coordinator, Mina Booth of Fresh Montgomery, mina.booth@freshmontgomery.co.uk or 020 7886 3039. Alternatively contact CESA, on 020 7793 3030 or via enquiries@cesa.org.uk, or visit www.hotelympia.com

Buyers can save time with CESA’s Hotelympia VIP programme

View the whole press release

Got an equipment question? CESA has the answer on stand 4270.
Plus: CESABIM expansion; launch of CFSP Enhance.

Hotelympia 2016, ExCeL London, 29 Feb – 3 March.

CESA’s Hotelympia VIP programme aims to give catering equipment buyers a shortcut to the specific products they are looking for. It means group buyers can have a bespoke schedule created for them, to meet relevant suppliers of the products at pre-planned, timed meetings. They can choose whether they want to meet business or technical personnel.

“The scheme will save time for genuine buyers,” says Keith Warren, director of CESA. “They’ll get to talk to the people they need to, without having to wait – because the exhibitors involved have committed themselves to blocking the time.”

As the authoritative voice of the catering equipment industry, with over 170 member companies, CESA represents a rich source of industry knowledge. Any visitor to Hotelympia who has a question about catering equipment can find the answer on the CESA stand – either through the Association’s own personnel, or by accessing its network of members.

CESABIM, the BIM library and database for catering equipment, will be a major feature on the CESA stand as the Association announces significant changes. The new database has been broadened to allow not only different file types, including IFC and Revit, but also PDT files, which are simple files of data on specific products. They mean that if a product does not have a BIM model, designers can still use it in their plans by creating one from the PDT file, using a blank template.

“By broadening CESABIM we have been able to ensure that designers can use the database to access as many products as possible, so that foodservice operators can have the kitchen they want, rather than having to compromise because a BIM model is not available,” says Keith.

Hotelympia also sees the launch of CFSP Enhance, the latest addition to CESA’s Certified Food Service Professional (CFSP) accreditation scheme, which is designed to raise professionalism in the foodservice industry by improving knowledge of kitchen operation. CFSP Enhance keeps all those with CFSP accreditation up to speed with the latest issues, legislation and regulations. For example, they will be sent early copies of new information and guides from organisations such as The Food Standards Agency.

“CFSP is internationally recognised,” says Keith. “In the UK there are hundreds of CFSP-accredited professionals, and courses are getting booked up more quickly than ever. Visitors can find out about the next available course at the Show. We’ll also be offering special Hotelympia discounts for caterers and operators who want to sign up.”
